I hope everyone has had a brilliant week and a wonderfully romantic weekend.
So what have I been up to this week?
Let's see, I have been still working on the Etsy shop, the amount of fields etc that you need to fill out BUT I am sure in the long run it will be worth it.
My brilliant niece Sarah has started an Instagram account up for me and is going to be looking after that end, so if you are on Instagram, please add Made With Love By Penny to your account.
Now before I forget, I have added a new tab up the top that says "Sign up to become a VIP".
By signing up to become a VIP and yes it is FREE!, you will receive a monthly newsletter where you will get to see what new listings are coming up a week before they go public. I will also be offering to Australian VIP's every two months a special giveaway and at the start of each new season a discount coupon for any of the items I have up for sale.
So don't forget to sign up.
This week I have been working on a special little item which is in a brilliant turquoise blue for a newborn.

Cheeky aren't I? |
So this will get everyone's grey matter going trying to work out what it is the start of, won't it. Leave a comment below and let me know what you think it is.
Aside from this, I have also been working on my first pattern design. It is a crocheted bed for my cat George. He is my eldest cat. I have 3 of them and don't worry they all know NOT to go near my yarn or finished products otherwise there is no treaties. Yes I am a strict Mistress when it comes to my fur babies.
Anyway Shane my hubby bought me a knitted pouf so I could put my feet up on something comfortable and I have a blanket that sits on top of that to make it a bit higher and softer.
Alas George believes it is for him and sharing with him is not an easy task as he is not a little boy. So we talked about getting him his own bed as our second eldest and only female, Sky, has commandeered one of our European pillows, while our youngest and Sky's first born, Theon, prefers to sleep on Shane's desk chair or on my lounge chair.
Just had to share a photo of my fur babies as, they are just as important in my life as any member of my family. Plus I can't show photos of my grandchildren on here due to parental wishes and I don't think my son's want to be on my blog either lol
Well the thing is I have been keen to write an actual pattern and design something of my own, so I thought that doing a bed for George would be the ideal thing. Then I think I might start designing my own patterns for baby and toddler clothes.
On The Made With Love By Penny Pinterest board, I have a board labeled Creative Ideas and it is made up of mostly Vintage/Victorian style clothing that I could see being adapted into pretty little dresses or cardigans and so on. Not to mention the color combinations are spectacular.
There is also an amazing amount of earrings from the same era that I could see being used as patterns for Afghans/Baby Blankets.
The yarn I am using is a purple and white camo acrylic and so far it is turning out alright.
Ok so it is only the base at this stage but I have nearly reached the base size I need.
I have a newfound respect for those who design as it isn't just a matter of putting hook to yarn. You need to work out what size hook gives you the right tension, how many stitches you need to use and where etc.
Every week I'll try to give you an update on how I am going with it along with pictures.
But for now I think it is time to say goodnight and wish you all a wonderful and safe week.
Until next Sunday,
